Some items are not repairable and must be replaced.

Pricing Damages

Damages that include labour or are otherwise difficult to accurately price including: hardwood floors, ceramic tiles, formica, walls, ceilings, and fixtures; will be estimated until the actual charges for the repair work and materials are received.
Carpet is priced at $175.00 per square yard installed.

Locks and keys

locks and keys require replacement/rekeying of:

each and all locks in a single dwelling, or
the unit lock, and all common area locks in multi-unit dwellings,

at the loss of any key

Storage costs of Abandoned Items

Storage facilities charge a minimum fee of one month rental of the space, for any part of a month
Storage spaces are priced by size, and range from $88 for a closet sized space, to $274 dollars for a large space, plus tax.
Tenants will be charged storage fees for all property remaining in the premises at the end of the lease.
Goods determined to be unsanitary, noxious, or hazardous, will be disposed of immediately, and any special handling costs for the disposal of those goods will be charged to the tenant.
Local storage companies, may be contacted through Yellow pages, the tenant removing all the tenant's property, may be much less expensive

Smoking is prohibited in all Dockrey Apartments properties.

Cleaning of premises in which the tenant resident or guest has smoked in is difficult and expensive.
Hotels charge $350 to de-odorize a single room.
Current charges of $200 per room, are not excessive.

Charges of prescribed trades are billed to the tenant at cost;

prescribed trades may be considered any trade that requires a license in the province of Nova Scotia
prescribed trades include, non-exclusively: electrical; plumbing; WETT; appliance repairs; concreters; plasterers,

Charges to the tenant that remain unpaid may be recovered by legal action, incurring greater cost in legal and Sheriff fees,

It is preferred that damage not occur,
If damage has occurred it is acceptable to make payment arrangements
